Lyman Copeland Draper research materials, ca. 1840s.

This collection consists of a microfilm copy of a volume from the Lyman Copeland Draper collection at the State Historical Society of Wisconsin. This volume (volume 5 of the Wisconsin collection) contains Draper's research notes on Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina. The Georgia papers contain notes on Elijah and John Clarke, Micajah Williamson, Richard McGriff, William Candler, and Benjamin Few. The Alabama papers contain notes on Alexander McGillivray, William Weatherford, George Stiggins, and Stiggin's narrative on Creek Indians. The South Carolina papers contain original manuscripts from Richard Winn and the South Carolina Yazoo Land Company.
